2024 Fair was a GREAT FAIR!

2024 Wilson County-Tennessee State Fair was a GREAT FAIR!

WOW! What a GREAT FAIR! Great weather! Great attendance! Great results!

Thank you all for celebrating the 2024 Fair with us!

The Wilson County-Tennessee State Fair presented by your Mid-South Ford Dealers, which ran from August 15th to August 24th, saw an unprecedented attendance of 861,425 fairgoers, surpassing previous records (of 776,195 set in 2022) and making this year's event one of the most memorable in its history. The fair’s success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire community. We extend our deepest gratitude to all our vendors, sponsors, and fairgoers whose enthusiasm and support made this record-breaking attendance possible.

The overall Fair theme “95 Reasons to Celebrate Tennessee” was carried throughout the Fair where all 95 Tennessee counties were showcased! Each of the 95 counties had an exhibit in the Made TN Building showing what is special about their county, what their county has to offer, events that take place, special people, agriculture, and tourism. Fairgoers traveled the entire state of Tennessee at the Fair!

Sow the Fun! Harvest the Memories! was the 2024 Fair theme partnered with the Tennessee agriculture commodity focus “Year of Wheat and Small Grains.” Lots of fun was had by all, and oh all the memories that were made and harvested! It truly was a special Fair!

In the Made in Tennessee Building, fairgoers were welcomed and asked to place a pin to represent where they were from. We met people who attended from all 95 Tennessee Counties, all 50 States and 35 countries.

Even though there has been a Fair on and off in Wilson County since 1853, this was the 45th Fair produced by Wilson County Promotions, the non-profit organization that has a small paid staff and over 2,700 volunteers who see to all the details of the 10-day Fair. Fair Volunteers truly showcase why Tennessee is known as the Volunteer State. Proceeds from the Fair go to put on next year’s Fair and make improvements to the Fairgrounds.

Highlights of the 2024 Fair included:

As Tennessee’s Largest Outdoor Classroom, the Fair includes deep roots as an agriculture Fair! There were over 6,200 livestock entries at over 150 Livestock Shows, around 1,500 4-H & FFA students competing in over 30 competitions and more than 100 agriculture education opportunities for fairgoers around the entire fairgrounds.

Over 320 fairgoers also enjoyed a delicious Farm to Table Dinner that raised funds for the Blue Ribbon Foundation of the Tennessee State Fair Association. These funds will support Youth Development as youth spoke, served the dinner and created a panel who was interviewed by Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Deputy Commissioner Jeff Aiken. Farmers, commodity organizations and businesses as well as individuals enjoyed this event seeing first hand that our future looks bright with our youth leading the way.

Exceptional contributions by sponsor and vendors were key to the success of this year’s fair. From the delicious food and exciting games to the unique exhibits and local crafts, your participation ensured that our visitors enjoyed a diverse and vibrant experience. A special thank you goes to our sponsors, whose generous support allowed us to enhance the fair’s offerings and provide top-notch entertainment, events and competitions.

As the dust hasn't settled yet, the numbers from the 2024 Wilson County-Tennessee State Fair are still coming in. Watch for the 2025 Wilson County-Tennessee State Fair theme as the Fair prepares to welcome Fairgoers back August 14-23, 2025.

We’ll see YOU at the Fair!
