INFORMATION FOR COMPETITORS

RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Register online at wilsoncountytnstatefair.com OR exhibits can be entered between 2 - 7 PM on Wed., August 14, 2024 .

2. All articles are exhibited at owner’s risk, but all reasonable precautions will be taken for protection of items. Deteriorated items will be discarded as required.

3. Prizes will be awarded on the decision of the judge.

4. Vegetables will be judged on quality (uniform in size, fresh, firm and undamaged; free of disease and insects). If only one entry in class, it will not automatically win first place.

5. NO REFRIGERATED OR FROZEN ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

6. One entry per person in each lot.

7. All vegetables and fruits must be grown in the 2024 season.

8. All exhibits must be grown in home garden.

9. Premiums will be paid and exhibits removed on Sunday, August 25 , from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. Entries left after 3:00 PM will be discarded.

10. Competition open only to Wilson County residents, members of Wilson County Family and Community Education Clubs or Wilson County Master Gardeners.


Claude Jordan Memorial Best of Show Award individual winning the most money in Fruits & Vegetables Division receives $100.
Winner’s name will be added to a permanent plaque.

Chairman Choice Award will be given to the entry, as determined by the Chairman,
which best represents the beauty and vitality of Wilson County and its Fair. Individual will receive $25.00.

Must have been raised in home garden this year. (Minimum of eight (8) different fruits or vegetables arranged in a suitable container)
